ORCA Voluntary Recall & Motor Exchange Program

Effective starting January 23, 2026

ORCA is offering a one-for-one exchange for the following recalled motor models:

Recalled Motor Part Numbers:

  • MO24BTM3215 B3 21.5T 
  • MO24BTM3215FE B3 21.5T Fe
  • MO24BT3U215AFE B3 21.5T Fe

Replacement Motor Model:

  • MO24BT3U215A B3 21.5T 


Return Requirements

Returned motors must include:

  • Original stator
  • Motor can
  • Motor endbell
  • Sensored unit

Rotor is NOT required.
Customers may keep their rotor and reuse it. All replacement motors (MO24BT3U215A) will include a rotor.


Exchange Details

  • One recalled motor = one replacement motor (MO24BT3U215A)
  • No proof of purchase required
  • Original packaging not required
  • Exchange only — no refunds or credits


Replacement Motor Notes

  • Replacement motors will be fully functional and include a rotor
  • Replacement value may vary depending on configuration or options
  • Team Spec or special option motors may require up to one additional week to process
  • Customers with special upgrades or configurations should contact ORCA for review

  • Customers must email ORCA before sending any motor

  • ORCA will issue a File # after contact
  • The File # must be clearly labeled on each returned motor
  • Motors sent without a File # may be delayed


Shipping Instructions (IMPORTANT)

  • Customers are responsible for shipping recalled motors to ORCA after receiving a File #
  • Motors shipped from a U.S. address must be sent to the U.S. return address
  • Motors shipped from a Canadian address must be sent to the Canada return address
  • ORCA will cover the cost of shipping replacement motors back to the customer
